SANTA FE (KRQE) - Lightning struck last night hitting a tree right in the middle of a packed plaza.
Santa Fe Emergency Manager Andrew Phelps sent KRQE News 13 a photo with bark stripped from the truck of the tree where the lightning hit it.
Witnesses said they saw a bright flash that was followed by a loud crack.
According to the Santa Fe New Mexican , the Santa Fe Fire Department reported at least one man was cut by some of the debris after branches and splinters of wood went flying. No one else was seriously injured.
