ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Roads in metro Albuquerque were back to normal by late morning Wednesday after Mother Nature played a little trick on folks who thought spring had arrived.
The snowy storm swept through parts of the state starting early Tuesday bringing wind, snow and rain.
Mostly the local storm just slickened roads, but earlier in the day westbound traffic on Interstate 40 at the head of Tijeras Canyon was diverted to Old Route 66 for about an hour while Department of Transportation patrol crews to sanded and salted the grade.
