SHIPROCK, N.M. (KRQE) - A six-mile stretch of a highway in the Four Corners area is closed after heavy rain caused it to collapse.
Video from the Navajo Department of Transportation shows the damage to U.S. 491 after Friday's storm.
The road, that connects Gallup to Shiprock, will be closed in both directions between Sheep Springs and Naschitti for at least two weeks.
Drivers are urged to use U.S. 371 between Thoreau and Farmington in the meantime.
