ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Judges settled two New Mexico State Fair competitions aimed directly at your taste buds Wednesday naming the best green chile cheeseburger and a unique taste treat you may not believe.
The burger contest is one of the toughest competitions around with cooks competing all afternoon to see who makes the best green chile cheeseburger New Mexico.
The winner is Sadie's, which has four locations around Albuquerque.
The contest was held at the state fair.
Other competitors included Papa Burgers, Albuquerque; Bravo Cucina Italiana, Albuquerque; Big Mike's Grill, Belen; Sparky Burgers, Hatch; De La Vega's Pecan Grill and Brewery, Las Cruces; Cowgirl BBQ, Santa Fe; Rockin 'BZ Burgers, Alamogordo; Badlands Burgers & Tortas, Grants; Ancient Way Café, Ramah; and AmorStop2Eat, Española.
The State Fair began its 12-day run Wednesday.

News 13 reporter Katie Kim helped judge the second contest--Taste Me @ The Fair--to find the best new and unique taste treat among the food vendors.
The entries included Fried Black Cherry Kool-Aid Pickle Chips with Ranch and Pineapple Chimichanga a la Mode.
The judges chose Deep Fried Green Chile Cheese Curds made by Farrar's Fresh Cut French Fries as the winner.
