ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - New Mexico may soon be seeing more jaguars than what's already at the ABQ BioPark.
The feds this week released a revamped proposal dedicating a habitat in New Mexico and
Arizona for the rare cat.
They are adding another 31-square miles to a total of more than 13,040 square miles of habitat.
The larger habitat allows a wider range of vegetated areas and eliminates high elevations not used by jaguars.
