ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Admitted Ponzi-schemer Doug Vaughan is now gone from New Mexico headed to a new home behind bars.
Vaughan was sent last week from the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility to a federal transfer center in Oklahoma.
From there he will be moved to the prison where he'll serve his 12-year sentence.
Where that will be has not been disclosed.
Vaughan, once one of Albuquerque's highest-profile Realtors, bilked hundreds of investors out of $75 million by taking money he claimed would be invested in real estate.
Manners matter especially during the holiday season.
You've heard us talk a lot about Toys for Tots and how you can help needy kids in Albuquerque this Christmas.
The final Toys for Tots collections have been made and the generosity of folks around Albuquerque has been great as always.
