ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - State police stopped a possible coast-to-coast drug shipment in its tracks, literally.
After finding bundles of pot on an Amtrack train leaving Albuquerque.
Police say the marijuana was found in the suitcase of Harrison Evens.
He faced a judge Sunday on possession charges.
State police investigators conducting searches on an eastbound Amtrack train Saturday, asked evens about his luggage.
First said he only had one bag, but another passenger pointed out a second he carried onboard.
In that duffel bag police say they found 25 rectangular bundles of pot.
Sunday, the Arizona resident was told he will not be traveling anywhere anytime soon.
"You're not permitted to leave the county of Bernalillo, the state of New Mexico without permission of the courts, maintain contact with an attorney if you have one," Judge Henry Alaniz said.
Evens told agents he was traveling from Arizona to Chicago.
He is still behind bars Sunday on a $5,000 bond.
