ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) - Roswell police have identified a person of interest who they believe is linked to explosive devices found in two separate Roswell homes.
They say they're searching for David Baca, 34, who is believed to be armed and dangerous.
Roswell residents were greeted with flashing lights and FBI agents outside their homes Tuesday night, and on Wednesday morning the scene was still there.
"We were just like, 'Oh, God, no. This can't be happening,'" said Roswell resident Theresa Sanchez.
Sanchez lives down the street from the home where police say they found multiple bombs Tuesday.
"Being so close to a house like that scares my family and me," said Sanchez. "Why would be in so much danger in a nice neighborhood?"
Roswell police say the investigation of a shooting that injured a man early on Tuesday led them to a house on the 3000 block of Encanto Road.
Investigators executed a search warrant Tuesday and say they found multiple explosive devices inside.
"Last night they took all precautions, all safety precautions," said police Public Information Liaison Sabrina Morales. "They actually evacuated a couple of residences from the surrounding homes just in case."
Early Wednesday morning Roswell police executed a second search warrant at a house on the 1000 block of South Pennsylvania and found even more explosive materials.
Police officials say they have reason to believe Baca, who remains at large, is linked to all three incidents.
"It did prove me wrong," said Sanchez. "I thought this was a great, great neighborhood to raise a nice family, to grow old, and that just so proved me wrong."
Roswell police will not say how many devices they found in either of the homes or if they have any other suspects.
They say all roads leading to the two homes are open and there is no immediate danger.
According to court documents Baca does not have a criminal history, only a few misdemeanor traffic violations.
