ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - It has been all downhill for La Cueva legend Ronnie Daniels, one of New Mexico's biggest high school football stars ever.
First the big-time running backran himself off the team at Texas Tech and now he has run into serious trouble with the law after being found naked in a stranger's house.
Police say Daniels broke into a home in a gated community not too far from La Cueva Sunday afternoon.
They say a mother came home with two daughters and found Daniels naked in the bathtub and some of his clothes in a hamper.
He threw on his clothes and bolted out the door, but police caught him a few blocks away.
Daniels told police he just felt comfortable in the house.
After starring at La Cueva, the big-time recruit went to Texas Tech and scored a touchdown in his homecoming at UNM two years ago. He was then kicked off the team for a series of attitude problems.
He announced he was transferring to San Diego State , but just a few weeks ago he announced he was done with football.
Daniels was still in jail Monday on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
