ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The former Santa Fe New Mexican and Albuquerque Journal reporter injured in a shooting at a Phoenix office building is not expected to survive.
Mark Hummels, 43, was one of three people shot Wednesday at a Phoenix office building.
Hummels, an attorney, was engaged in a settlement conference with his client, Steve Singer a Phoenix CEO, when the two men and another person were shot. Singer was killed in the shooting.
Hummels had worked in New Mexico for the Albuquerque Journal and Santa Fe New Mexican in the 90's. In 2001 he left the New Mexican to go to law school.
The statement on the Osborn Maledeon's website expressed condolences to Hummels' wife, Dana, and their two children.
The suspected shooter, 70-year-old Arthur Harmon, was later found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound.
