ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Family and friends came together Saturday night in Bayfield, Colo., for a candlelight vigil to remember Dylan Redwine.
Hundreds showed up Saturday to honor the teenager, pray and share memories of Redwine.
On Thursday, deputies announced they had found the teen's remains in the Middle Mountain area – about eight miles from his father, Mark Redwine's, Vallecito home.
Denise Hess, a friend of Dylan's mother, led the effort to find the boy and helped plan the vigil. She spoke to KRQE News 13 on Saturday.
"I think it's going to have a huge impact on Dylan's mom and his brother and his family and friends, especially his mom – to see so many people come here to honor and remember her little boy," Hess said.
Hess said a memorial garden will be built in Dylan's name.
Detectives are still investigating what led up to the boy's death.
