ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The woman, who threatened to rig her apartment with explosives forcing officers to call in the bomb squad, faced a judge Sunday.
Kirsten Sandy was in court Sunday on a hoax bomb or explosive charge.
According to a criminal complaint, a man from the Waterfront Apartments on San Mateo Lane, near San Mateo Boulevard called 911. He told operators that Sandy, his father's girlfriend, claimed she was an explosives expert in the military and that she rigged the apartment with explosives to go off when the caller's father got home.
The bomb squad was called in and police arrested Sandy.
She faced a judge Sunday and argued she's the victim.
"I think that I'm not a threat because I think that it's the other way around," Sandy said.
While bomb experts say they did not find any explosives in the apartment, the caller told police he saw Sandy with a lot of chemicals.
