CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) - A big cosmetics company that was supposed to move to New Mexico is going under after its CEO missed a $1 million deadline on Friday.
Beauty Health and Science Innovations will now have to auction off all of the company's assets.
The city of Clovis paid nearly $2 million in December 2011 for the company to move from California to Clovis and bring 350 jobs.
But the company never moved into the old froze fruit building.
The city commission approved a $1 million settlement in May, but the company never paid a dime.
Money generated by the auction will first go to the landlord, with the remainder of the money going to Clovis.
