ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The ACLU New Mexico is now involved in the fight over Whole Foods' language policy.
Two employees of the store at Wyoming and Academy claim they were suspended for a day because they complained about a rule forbidding employees from speaking Spanish to each other on the job.
Whole Foods claims they were actually suspended for rude behavior.
The ACLU, now representing the workers, has sent a letter to Whole Foods demanding the chain adopt a new language policy.
Whole Foods said last week it is reviewing that policy.
