Born in St. Louis, Williamson began performing on stage at agenine. Soon after, his family moved to California where he continuedhis education, eventually graduating from the Gene Evans MotionPicture School in San Jose, CA. Later, Williamson began workingprofessionally, appearing on several television shows.
His performance in the Academy Award-winning feature“Forrest Gump” opposite Tom Hanks earned Williamsoncritical raves, propelling him into films such as“Heat,” “Lucky Number Slevin,”“August Rush” and “ATL.” He has appeared ontelevision in the critically acclaimed dramas“Boomtown,” “Kidnapped” and “CSI:NY.” Williamson’s forthcoming film credits include“Black Dynamite,” “Ball Don’t Lie,”“High School” and “The Final Destination.”
An aviation enthusiast and devoted family man, Williamson enjoysbeing active in his church, restoring classic cars and flying inhis free time. He currently lives in Southern California with hiswife and his three daughters.
