NEW YORK (AP) — Three popular Norman Rockwell masterpieces are heading to a New York City auction.
Sotheby's says "Saying Grace," ''The Gossips" and "Walking to Church" are among seven works by The Saturday Evening Post illustrator going on sale Dec. 4.
They're being offered by the family of Kenneth Stuart Sr. He was Rockwell's longtime art director at the magazine.
"Saying Grace" appeared on the Nov. 24, 1951 cover. It has the highest estimate — $15 million to $20 million.
It could beat the current record for the artist. Rockwell's "Breaking Home Ties" sold for $15.4 million at Sotheby's in 2006.
The three works had been on loan at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Mass.
The sale comes years after a legal battle over the works among Stuart's three sons.
