GRANTVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Production crews are planning to film scenes for the new sequel to the 1994 movie "Dumb and Dumber" in the west Georgia town of Grantville.
The Grantville City Council on Monday approved a request to film parts of the movie in town.
The Times-Herald of Newnan reports (http://bit.ly/1e24vCQ) that filming is planned for Sept. 30 in downtown Grantville and surrounding areas, as it becomes actress Barbara Hershey's hometown in Kansas.
The newspaper reports that a mural will be painted this week on the side of the building next to the genealogical library — replacing the Coca-Cola sign.
Movie location manager Maida Morgan said the Coca-Cola sign will be re-painted after filming concludes.
