$1M given for Little Bear Fire cleanup

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Lincoln County is getting $1 million from FEMA for cleanup costs related last year's Little Bear Fire.
The Little Bear Fire destroyed more than 250 homes and structures as it raced across nearly 70 square miles last summer.
The following month, the area saw heavy flooding from runoff across the burn scar.
Lincoln County spent more than $1 million to remove and haul debris as a result of the fire and flooding.
Democratic U.S. Senator Tom Udall announced the funding, saying that as another fire season approaches, communities are still dealing with the devastation caused last year.
