ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Temps will continue to run above average during today across most of the state with only the notheast catching a break from the heat as cooler starts to invade the state.
Changes move in tonight as a cold front pushes in from the northeast. It won't be a big rain maker...with only a few isolated storms possible ahead of the front in the southern part of the state. It will bring windy conditions first across the northeast this afternoon and then winds will pick up across the Rio Grande Valley this evening peaking after midnight. Expect east winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 40 or higher.
Winds will subside Friday afternoon with cooler temps across the state.
