ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An early morning storm on Friday took residents of Rio Rancho and parts north towards Santa Fe by surprise. The storm left small remnants of snow on the ground, but brought with it heavy patches of fog that made driving difficult.
The heavy fog that was in the Rio Rancho area reduced visibility on Highway 528 down to 10 feet in some spots. That finally lifted around 5:30 a.m. There was, however, some reduced visibility in parts of the Albuquerque metro area.
As of 7:00 a.m., there were no reports of any accidents related to the weather.
