ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A moving truck erupts into flames, shutting down a portion of I-25 for hours Sunday afternoon.

State police shut down all southbound lanes of I-25, just north of the Bernalillo exit before 12 p.m.

It was finally reopened around 5 o’clock Sunday evening.

Traffic was a mess and cars were backed up for miles as police rerouted drivers through Bernalillo.

No word on how extensive the fire damaged the truck, or if anyone inside was injured.

Bernalillo police are still investigating
