ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A lot of roads across northern New Mexico are still slick the day after a winter storm whipped through the state .

At noon Wednesday the New Mexico Department of Transportation was reporting difficult driving conditions in the Jemez Mountains around Los Alamos and Fenton Lake, east of Tierra Amarilla toward Tres Piedras and on U.S. Highway 60 west of Fort Sumner.

Driving also was dicey between Raton and Folsom where State Route 72 is closed over Johnson Mesa and on Interstate 40 and side roads between Grants and Gallup.
