ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - One man is dead after getting thrown off a motorcycle on the far west side of Albuquerque Thursday night.

Bernalillo County sheriff's deputies say a group of motorcyclists were heading north near the Double Eagle II Airport when one of the bikers was going too fast on a turn and flew off his bike.

Deputies say the man in his 30s was not wearing a helmet.

They also say there were no signs of alcohol playing a role in the crash.

Deputies have not released victim's identity.
