LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KRQE) - San Diego State defeated the Lobo women's basketball team on Friday for the third time this season and moved on to the championship game in the Mountain West Conference tournament.
The Lobos shot only 16 percent in the first half and 25 percent in the second falling to the Aztecs. 67-39.
"This is going to sting because we don't like losing," Lobo Head Coach Yvonne Sanchez said. "We don't like losing like this.
"With that being said, we like the fact that good things are going to happen for our program, and we're just going to go out there and do as best as we can. We are going to rebuild for the future and reload for the future."
The Lobo men are alive and well in the tournament face SDSU in their own semifinal game Friday evening.
