ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - It's been a phenomenal season so far for the UNM Men's Basketball team. They are not only number one in the Mountain West Conference, but they are ranked as high as fifteenth in the country. The UNM Ticket Office says that has made for quick and fast sales of seats to cheer the Lobos on in person at the Pit.
As of the close of business on Tuesday, the UNM Ticket Office tells KRQE News 13 that sales for Wednesday night's game have only left them with about 150 seats to sell, those are expected to be gone by tip off at 7 p.m. Ticket office reps also say that's been the trend so far this season.
One big difference this year from last is that tickets are selling further in advance.
They also say that for the remaining games this year, there are still some available in the lower bowl of the arena as well as some club seats.
"I went to a game not too long ago and just the atmosphere and the vibe that it gives the community is really good," says UNM student Katrina Guillen.
"Sadly, I haven't been able to go to a game, but I do hope to go before the season ends," says UNM Sophomore Maria Montoya.
Wednesday night's game will be televised on the My50 and Root Sports networks. My50 is channel 50 on both Dish and Direct TV as well as channel 12 on Comcast, that is channel 214 in high definition. Root Sports is 414 on Dish, 683 on Direct TV as well as 261 on Comcast.
The next game for the Lobos after Wednesday will be in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday as they take on UNLV.
