ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The Lobos will be howling all the way to Utah this week after learning their place in the NCAA Tournament.
The cherry and silver packed the pit in anticipation of the big announcement and the Lobos will have to dust off their dancing shoes.
They learned Sunday that they were a 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament , playing 14th seeded Harvard in Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday.
Tickets for the Lobo match-up against Harvard are hard to come by so far.
The game is set for Thursday evening, but already many people are having a tough time getting their hands on them.
There were no lines and no crowds at ticket counters because there are no tickets.
All 300 tickets UNM received from the NCAA and another 50 for students sold out in two and a half hours.
Some fans who were able to get tickets Monday morning when the office opened. However, not a lot of people came here because most were donors who registered online.
So those looking to sit with the Lobo fans are out luck.
“It’s awesome and I know a lot of our fans are going through the website of the arena because what I’ve heard we're completely sold out from our session there,” Associate Athletic Director, Kurt Esser, said.
