ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The Lobo Stadium football field is being named for two Albuquerque attorneys with a long history of contributing to University of New Mexico athletic programs.

The latest contribution from Turner and Margaret Branch--$1.5 million--is paying for the naming rights.

The Branches are UNM alumi and have been supporting the athletics program for more than 30 years, according to the university.

The $1.5 million is the second largest gift to athletics from living individuals and counts toward the $75 million goal set for the Lobo Leap to Excellence fundraising campaign.

The Branches will be recognized during the Lobos' home opener on Sept. 1 against Southern Methodist University.
