BRISTOL, Tenn. (AP) - David Reutimann is suffering from food poisoning and will be replaced in his car Friday at Bristol Motor Speedway by Aric Almirola.

Almirola says Michael Waltrip Racing told him Reutimann was suffering from food poisoning. He says the team approached him Friday about driving the No. 00 Toyota.

Almirola is not sure if he will practice and qualify the car, or if Reutimann will be able to get any seat time Friday.

Almirola has been the standby driver of choice this season. Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon both tabbed him to wait in the wings in case their wives went into labor during a race weekend.
