ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) - Some high school students turned into Santa’s helpers this holiday season, after pooling their money together to help children in need.

Seven Roswell High students were raising money to go on a trip for key club, when CYFD called.

They wanted to see if there was anyway the club could help them.

After learning about how many kids were in need in their area, the club used the money they had been raising to go and buy gifts for underprivileged kids in Chaves County.

”We noticed that they, like, we really made a difference and they were happy,” Dulce Santoyo student said.

The teens were able to help more than 300 children in just a three week period.
