ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Police have identified the man killed on I-40 Tuesday night.

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office says Lawrence Zaragoza, 24, was walking on I-40 near the Zuzax exit just before 9 p.m. Tuesday when he was hit by a car.

Eastbound I-40 was temporarily shut down Tuesday but has since reopened.

Officials are waiting for toxicology results to see if Zaragoza had been drinking or using drugs at the time of the accident.

Investigators say the driver of the car will not be charged.
