Boat ramps at Caballo Lake Park closed

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - State Parks officials have closed the boat ramps at Caballo Lake State Park and motorized boats are no longer allowed because of low water levels.

The lake south of Truth or Consequences has seen water levels drop because of low snowpack and rainfall and water use for irrigation.

However the lake remains open for canoeing, kayaking and other non-motorized watercraft.
