ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Balloonist had a rough morning Wednesday with rough landings and power pole crashes.
One balloon floated into a power line near Carmonie and Alexander in northeast Albuquerque, taking out that line and disrupting power to over 2000 PNM customers.
Luckily no one was injured and power in the area has since been restored.
Shortly after that crash, another balloon found its way into a light pole at the intersection of San Mateo and Balloon Fiesta Park. No injuries were reported as a result of that crash either.
Officials tell KRQE News 13 that two other balloons experienced crashes/rough landings in two separate locations.
One at Comanche and Bryn Mawr, no injuries reported, and another with minor injuries at 1551 Mission.
According to APD balloonists are having difficulty landing not only in Albuquerque but also in Sandoval County.
