SANTA FE (AP) - A man from Las Vegas, N.M., died and seven other people were seriously injured in Santa Fe County when the SUV they were traveling in blew a tire and rolled over several times on Interstate 25.

The Santa Fe New Mexican reports ( http://bit.ly/RY3xai ) that 51-year-old Alani Tuineau Sione was thrown from SUV and died at the scene on Saturday evening.

Among the people who were injured were four children, including Sione's 8-year-old daughter.

Those who were injured are expected to recover.

The crash occurred when the SUV driven by Sione's wife blew its right rear tire, rolled several times, went down an embankment and landed upright.

Authorities say alcohol didn't appear to be a factor.

The people inside the SUV were returning from a rugby match in Albuquerque.
