AUSTIN (KXAN) - An Austin man is wanted by police after he allegedly tried to deposit some cocaine along with his cash into a bank account.
Anthony Avila, 32, reportedly pulled into the Austin Telco Federal Credit Union drive-thru at the 4000 block of Frontier Trail in January and sent $200 through the cannister to make a deposit.
To the teller's surprise, police said a bag of cocaine was wedged between the bills that Avila sent.
There were about 0.88 grams of cocaine - or, in bank-speak, a couple of dime bags' worth.
Avila was still at large on Thursday afternoon. He faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance, and his bond is set at $50,000.
