EL CAJON, Calif. (CNN/XETV) - Black Friday is more than a week away, but some people are already lining up outside stores to score big bargains.
Rhiannon Buckingham and Alicia Gomez are making sure they don't miss out on the deals. They're the first in line at this Best Buy in El Cajon. In fact, the store manager says it's the earliest they've seen a line start to form.
The deal seekers say it's worth it, but others were shocked to see the shoppers lined up.
"You can't get the door busters, it's first come first serve," said Gomez.
"I can't believe it, I am floored, I just don't think a TV is that important. That's time you can spend with your family," said Ana Holden.
Last year Black Friday saw record sales. According to the National Retail Federation the average shopper spent nearly $400.
