GENEVA (AP) — Swiss authorities say rescue forces used helicopters to evacuate 75 passengers from a stalled cable car near the glitzy mountain resort town St. Moritz.

Rescue services said Sunday the Diavolezza gondola was stuck halfway up the mountain and it took about three hours to evacuate all passengers. It was not immediately known what had caused the cable car's defect.

Rega rescue services say three helicopters were used and nobody was injured in the incident.

The gondola named Diavolezza — or "Little Devil" in Italian — rises to almost 3,000 meters (10,000 feet), giving access to a glacier ski resort.
