ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque Public Schools are getting a big boost thanks to a grocery store.
Smith's gave $74,000 Monday to APS as part of the Smith's Earn and Learn Program.
”The Smith's Earn and Learn Program has once again earned tens of thousand of dollars for our kids and schools here at APS. 90 of our school, 90 out of 140 will receive money from this,” APS Superintendent Winston Brooks said.
This includes Seven Bar Elementary. It will get a little more than $6,000 to improve the playground so kids with special needs will be able to use it.
