ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The New Mexico Attorney General is investigating Shiprock Representative Ray Begaye for allegedly submitting false expense vouchers to the State for a conference he attended in 2010.

Begaye billed both the State of New Mexico and the State Legislators Organization for his expenses at the Arizona conference.

The Attorney General’s Office was notified of his possible misconduct last week by legislative council services. Begaye is up for re-election this November.
