SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Members of the New Mexico's version of the national protests against Wall Street are slated to greet state lawmakers at the start of the new legislative session.

"Occupy" protesters from around the state are scheduled to hold a march on Tuesday from the Santa Fe Railyard Station to the State Capitol. Following the march, protesters will hold a series of musical performances, teach-ins, and meetings.

They also plan to form "legislative watchdog" groups to track any legislation during the session.

Joining "occupy" protesters at the State Capitol will be members of New Mexico's Tea Party movement who are scheduled to hold a counter protest. Tea Party members want lawmakers to pass Gov. Susana Martinez's repeal of a state law that allows illegal immigrants to obtain state driver's licenses.
