SANTA FE (KRQE) - Tuesday state legislators will get back to work at the Roundhouse and about a third of them are new to the job.

One of their biggest tasks ahead will be crafting a nearly $6 billion state budget for the year that starts on July 1st.

Also on her agenda is to push for mandatory retention of third graders who can not read proficiently.
