SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - New financial reports show Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Martin Heinrich has nearly four times more campaign cash than his primary election opponent, Hector Balderas.

Heinrich, a two-term congressman from Albuquerque, reported a cash balance of $1.5 million at the end of March. Balderas, who is the state auditor, had cash-on-hand of nearly $395,000.

The primary election is June 5.

In the race for the Republican nomination, former Congresswoman Heather Wilson's campaign reports a balance of $1.4 million and Las Cruces businessman Greg Sowards has nearly $706,000.

Wilson collected contributions of about $758,000 from January through March. Sowards loaned his campaign $100,000, bringing to more than $1 million the amount of personal money he's put into the race.

Heinrich received contributions of $489,000 during the quarter and Balderas raised almost $127,000.
