ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Friday is Walmart's last chance to appeal a decision that rejected a plan to build a new store on the corner of Coors Boulevard NW and Montaño Road.

Last month, the city Environmental Planning Commission voted to nix the plan after a meeting that lasted for 11 hours .

Commissioners agreed that accessibility problems with the site would be a major issue.

Hundreds of people who live nearby showed up at the meeting to speak out against the store.

Walmart has until the close of business to appeal that decision to the Albuquerque City Council.
