ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The Albuquerque Police Department says an 18-month-old girl may have died last week after consuming medications belonging to a family member.

The child was found unresponsive at a home near Broadway and I-40 November 19th and later died at the hospital.

Doctors have since told investigators there were no obvious signs of trauma.

Toxicology tests will say for sure if the child died from exposure to medication, but APD says that could take several weeks.

The child's parents were interviewed and released.
