RUIDOSOS, N.M. (KRQE) - Another mountain lion has been lurking around Ruidoso, and this one got very close to a school.

The town has been dealing with mountain lion encounters for about a year now.

Wildlife experts say they've coming into town to get closer to the deer, but one mountain lion got too close to kids.

It was spotted at the edge of the Ruidoso Middle School campus.

It was the school custodian who spotted the animal.

Department of Game and Fish officers brought dogs out to try to track the animal but didn't pick up a scent.
