LAS CRUCES (KRQE) - A Hatch teacher who recently suffered a head injury is reported to be missing.

The superintendent of Hatch Valley Public Schools says John "Jake" Johnson was last seen early Sunday morning in Las Cruces.

UPDATE:  Las Cruces police report Johnson has been located and is in good condition.

Johnson, who lives in Las Cruces, suffered a head injury in a recent car crash in Albuquerque.  His family is afraid he may have not fully recovered, according to Las Cruces police.

His colleagues say he likes to go to the mountains around silver city and to the Arizona border area.  Police say he may also be in El Paso, Texas.

They say he hasn't called in sick or talked to anyone, and they say it's unlike him not to show up for work.

Johnson is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds and has graying hair and a gray beard and mustache.  When last seen he was driving a 2008 Hyundai Accent with New Mexico license play 458-PMG.

Las Cruces police have taken a missing-person report and are investigating.
