ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Hundreds of people got great meals this Thanksgiving thanks to some generous folks.
Quarters barbeque, Xerox Corporation, and the New Mexico gay men's chorus all provided an early Thanksgiving meal Thursday morning at St. Martin's Hospitality Center in northwest Albuquerque.
It's some comfort for those who have fallen on hard times but still could find something to be thankful for.
"My life," Robert Carpentier said. "Because I have health issues, which is why I'm homeless."
PNM also provided a gift bag that includes socks and other needs this time of year.
Meanwhile Sandiago's also had a special Thanksgiving meal, this one for adopted and foster children and their families.
From 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. volunteers helped serve up a meal to remember. Around 300 reservations were made.
And after the meal the families we're offered a chance to take a ride on the tram for a reduced fare.
