Tax freebies offered by restaurants

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - There is actually a silver lining to the cloud hanging over tax day. A number of businesses across the country and here in New Mexico are offering tax freebies.

Some of the restaurants we found are offering the following:

• Arby's - Free curly fries if you "like" them on Facebook and print out the coupon.
• Boston Market is offering a buy one, get one free meal offer.
• Chilis - Free appetizer or desert with entrée
• Cinnabon - Two free bites between 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
• Panda Express - Free single serving of Shanghai Angus Steak

Taxes are due to be postmarked at midnight on Tuesday, April 17. 

If you need to file for an extension, you also need to submit that paperwork by midnight, April 17.  The tax form from the Internal Revenue Service you need to submit is Form 4868.  You can find that through www.irs.gov

If you request an extension, you will have until October 15 to file your taxes.  However, if you owe the government money, you will need to make some sort of payment by midnight, April 17.
