ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - One New Mexico gangster will just have to forget about a theft after a stolen prop was returned.
Saturday, KRQE News 13 told viewers about a pilfered prop. A bat used by Jacakmoe Buzzell, the doorman at Vernon’s Hidden Valley Steakhouse in northwest Albuquerque, was stolen Friday.
Well the thieves saw the story Saturday night and got the message.
Sunday, the bat was returned to its rightful owner.
“It was more of just a funny kind of humorous kind of college prank type of deal and then when he saw it on the news he freaked out like oh my goodness,” Buzzell said. “It was way more serious than he anticipated.”
Buzzell says the man came and met with a manager early Sunday and he was very apologetic.
The restaurant will not be pressing any charges.
