ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Animal Humane in Albuquerque is already filled to the brim, but with the arrival of 20 puppies needing good homes the shelter is even more strapped for space.
They took in 20 puppies Thursday from a Grants animal shelter because they were unable to care for them.
Animal Humane says the puppies they received range from Labs and heelers to Chihuahuas and dachshunds.
While it's a tight squeeze when it comes to space, Animal Humane says they think these puppies will find new homes pretty quickly.
"It's a lot of work," said Sam Blankenship, Animal Humane director of adoptions. "We kind of bottleneck for a bit as far as our space is concerned, but you know 20 puppies that just need somewhere to go.
"It's near impossible to say no."
The puppies will be available for adoption by Tuesday.
