ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Krystal's NFL Shoppe has filed a lawsuit against Facebook for false advertising on the business's fan page.
The local shop located in Northeast Albuquerque has been in business for three decades, selling everything from eyelashes with team logos on them to jerseys of popular players.
The store uses their Facebook fan page to post new merchandise, which they say is official NFL swag.
Store officials are concerned because they say when one of their 4000 Facebook fans comes to visit the page, they are barraged with advertisements for cheaper knock-off gear made in China. Co-owner Andy Hageman says he doesn't want these fakes to be associated with the store's good name and reputation.
Hageman has now taken legal action against Facebook for the issue, filing a lawsuit which accuses the company of false advertising and helping sell illegal products.
Representatives of Facebook have not yet responded to Kystal's lawsuit.
